Guerino Avallone

Guerino Avallone obtained a M.Sc. in Physics attaining the top score Cum Laude from the University of Salerno (Italy) in 2016 with a thesis entitled “Niobium Nanowire Networks at Millikelvin Temperatures“. For his Masters project, he fabricated and investigated the transport properties at very low temperatures of interconnected nano-networks, consisting of ultrathin superconducting Nb nanowires, achieved by using an innovative self-assembled technique.

Currently working towards a Ph.D. within the Department of Physics at the University of Salerno. His interests are focused on quantum-enhanced devices. In particular, creation, control and manipulation of quantum states to design systems with functionality that could not be achieved in a “non-quantum world”.
